Aurora is offering a new free winter activity for all tastes with an outdoor program that comes to life at dusk on the sumptuous site of La Filature at the ruisseau de la Brasserie from February 3 to 12.

Illuminated site, live music with DJ, coffee bar, skating rink (if ice conditions permit) and more! Come and enjoy winter and have fun in a festive atmosphere downtown! For more information on the condition of the Skateway, visit the Ville de Gatineau website

The activities offered at Aurora are free. Whether you want to skate (if the  skate rink is open), enjoy DJ performances or discover the interactive POP! installation, you won’t have to spend a cent! 

The only paying elements are: the coffee bar where you can get a hot alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink, refreshments and donuts as well as the skate rental service if you need it. For more information on the condition of the Skateway, visit the Ville de Gatineau website

Aurora will take place for 10 nights from February 3rd to 12th from 5pm to 9pm.

Every night, you can enjoy the installations on the Aurora site, but join us on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for themed music nights with DJs for a more festive atmosphere with a coffee and donut bar!

The ruisseau de la Brasserie rink will be open daily from 9am to 10pm, unless otherwise noted, depending on ice conditions. For more information on the condition of the Skateway, visit the Ville de Gatineau website

Yes, the official event parking is free and will be located at 85 Hanson Street.

Aurora takes place at the  ruisseau de la Brasserie, on the site of the Filature, more precisely at 84  Hanson Street, Gatineau J8Y 3M5.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, enjoy a coffee bar where you can get a hot alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink (coffee and hot chocolate) from La Brûlerie de Gatineau, refreshments (water and soft drinks) and choose from a selection of donuts from Café Dough co and co!

Aurora will offer four nights of live performances featuring local artists in four different musical themes on Friday and Saturday nights.

All lost items will be turned over to the Ville de Gatineau’s Recreation team. Come between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. to the Recreation trailer at ruisseau de la Brasserie and ask a city agent to retrieve your lost property.

A skate rental service will be available at the Ville de Gatineau’s Recreation trailer on the Aurora site. You can also bring your own skates if you have them! For more information on the condition of the Skateway, visit the Ville de Gatineau website

As the event is free, you will not be asked for a ticket to enter the site. However, we still recommend that you register for free at https://bit.ly/3vZ5kJs to get a reminder of your agenda and relevant information about the event.

The Aurora site is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. However, it is important to note that the site will be snowed in and the terrain may not be completely flat depending on the amount of snow on the ground.

Aurora will be lit up and its facilities will be accessible even if the rink is closed. The party continues in Aurora for free entertainment at nightfall. For more information on the condition of the Skateway, visit the Ville de Gatineau website
